Vantage Point

Standing at the edge of the Lion's Rock in Sigiriya – SL, is pure bliss. This granite peak stands  around 370 meters high,  dominating the surrounding jungle from pretty much all sides. How do you get on top? A series of galleries and staircases emerging from the mouth of a gigantic lion, all the way down. Around 1,500 steps, as per the guide’s knowledge, is what you need to climb to get up here. But definitely worth it. That’s me in there, meaning it was Andy who took this pic. I saw a Earnest Hemingway look-alike too up there too.  The bloke was sitting under a tree, reading a book (yup, they have trees up on the rock too)!
